Family Fortunes

Congratulations to the Ladies Football team, who won the hilarious Family Fortunes, Drumgoon Style in Gallonray House on Saturday night last. First up were the teams from the Happy Feet walking group, led by Roseanna Clarke, Jenny Freeman, Patricia Quinn, Nuala Mc Aleer and the Camogie club, represented by Caroline Martin, Tanya Murphy, Joanne Halpin and Cait Jackson. Next up were the victorious Ladies team, led by Aisling Mc Dermott, Sarah Mc Gorry, Sarah Clarke and Tess Mc Cann. They won a close encounter with the Mens team, led Michael Mc Donald, Donal Keappock, Pauric Mc Gorry and Shane Smith. The final grouping were Drumgoon Play Actors, led by Sean Mc Gorry, Louise Bannon, Lorna Reilly and Paul Boylan and they battled bravely against the Macra team led by Damian Reilly, Damian Hand, Liam Johnson and Enda Shalvey. The top two scoring teams The Ladies and the Play Actors met in the Final, with the Ladies emerging victorious. Chairman Jimmy O’ Reilly thanked the organising committee of Ann Marie Bannon, Sabrina Shalvey, Jim Mc Nally, Patricia Quinn, Margaret Hughes and especially the M.C. for the night Peter Gallagher.
