Under 15 Final
Drumgoon 4-07 Cuchullains 5-07
Played on a pleasant Saturday afternoon in Virginia, this was a brilliant game of football, between two evenly matched teams. Most the Drumgoon boys are underage again next year, and in the end missing two penalties, proved too much for the young team. The boys started well with Gerry Morris, scoring from a penalty, and shortly after Ciaran Clerkin lobbed the goalie for brilliant goal. At halftime, there was only one point in it 4-03 to 3-05. The boys battled bravely in the second half, but an unlucky yellow card, ended their chances. Earlier in the season the boys had won the League and with any wee bit of luck at all, could easily have completed the double. Scorers were Ciaran Clerkin 2-02, Gerry Morris 1-01, Lee Murray 1-00, Damien Hughes 0-02, Matthew Mc Dermott 0-02.
